A truly elegant variety, Westerton Ella Grace is a Miniature Formal Decorative dahlia with exceptional form and delicate colouring. Raised by UK breeder and “Dahlia Hero” Gordon Hodgson in 2017, this variety has quickly become a favourite among growers and exhibitors alike.
Its soft, baby pink petals glow with lavender tones and creamy centres, giving the blooms a luminous, almost ethereal quality. With a high petal count and refined shape, it’s no surprise this variety has taken home prestigious awards, including the Ernest Luckhurst and Jescot Perpetual Challenge Cups at Wisley. Plants reach around 150 cm tall and bloom prolifically throughout the season. Later in the season, some blooms may begin to show their centres, adding a bit of natural charm to their otherwise flawless appearance.
Due to overwhelming demand, this much-loved variety often sells out quickly—clearly one of Gordon Hodgson’s finest introductions.

Dahlias should be planted after the risk of frost has passed and will continue to bloom from early summer until mid-autumn. For optimal growth and flowering, choose a sunny spot to plant the tubers, as Dahlias thrive in full sun.
