Website Access & Account Update
To improve site performance and protect against spam, we’ve made some important changes to user account access:

  • Unverified accounts will be deleted.
    If you previously registered but did not verify your email, your account will be removed. You’ll need to re-register using your email and wait for the verification email. This is the only way to log into  the website and place orders.

  • New user registrations now require manual approval.
    All newly created accounts must be approved by an admin before they can be used to log in or place orders. This change comes after we detected a number of fake accounts (bots) creating unnecessary load on the server. These are currently being removed.
    We did advise users to register & verify accounts before the mad rush sale. Creating new accounts while the sale is on, puts additional stress on the web server and we have seen some users creating 2 or 3 separate email accounts all with the same address, hence this change!
  • Login security is now stricter.
    Multiple failed login attempts may temporarily lock your account. Please enter your password carefully to avoid being locked out or store your username and password in your phone so that it logs you in automatically.

  • Please email admin if you have not received your order details or for queries regarding your orders dahilasnz@gmail.com

We plan to reopen the shop briefly and will monitor performance. If traffic overloads the system, we may close access again and process received orders in batches.

We know this isn’t ideal, but these steps are the best way to keep the site stable, secure, and free of spam & bots. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

Update: 1pm, 26 May 2025
We experienced an overwhelming response to our dahlia tuber pre-sale last night—thank you! The surge in traffic at 10pm caused our web server to struggle, and the sale was delayed until around 11pm after some emergency upgrades and adjustments.

Our mail server also hit its daily limit of 500 emails, which affected order confirmations and account messages. We’ll reopen the shop for sales as soon as the mail server resets.

A big thank you to everyone who has already made payment. Payment confirmation emails will begin going out 1 or 2 days later, as they also count toward our daily email quota. Inside these emails, you’ll see the status noted as Payment received, Thank you!

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these growing pains.

Hi Dahlia Loverz!

Many Thanks to All who placed orders with us during our first season selling, Last year 20 Aug – 19 Nov 2024.

We had lots of good customer feedback and hope to open shop soon. We will try to give you a date soon or take mail orders for a select few, such as our Early Access customers from last year 2024 and then open the Crazy web shop sales.

We had a slow start to planting out our own Gardens last season as we were busy catering to sales and sending out parcels till the End of Nov 2024. In doing so some of us growers got our tubers into the ground a bit later than normal and No we didn’t plan it that way.

These are some of the varieties that are sure to turn anyone’s head towards your Garden in the coming grow Season.

Please choose the correct shipping option from right side of the order page, it will look something as below.

(1 – 5 items) means if you have 5 tubers or less, than choose that option
(5+ items) means you have 6 or more tubers in your cart.

Why Are Orders Taking Longer to Ship?

As a final note, we want to address the delay in shipping. We have been dispatching orders as soon as they’re ready, ensuring that only tubers with visible eyes or sprouts are sent out—some even with small shoots. However, for a few varieties, we are holding back in the hope that dormant tubers will wake up soon. Unfortunately, there’s no guaranteed time frame for when they will develop eyes.

Our tubers are sourced from several growers in Waikato but are stored and shipped from a central location. This process is managed by a single grower who carefully checks each tuber, packs them, and sends them out. As this is a thorough process, it is taking a little longer than expected.

We apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause and appreciate your patience as we work to provide you with the best possible tubers.

We’ve successfully shipped most of the orders from batch numbers 27## and 28##. However, a few orders containing the plant tying machine were delayed because the item is larger than our largest available delivery box. New shipping boxes are expected to arrive by Thursday, September 19th, and we will begin packing and shipping batch 29## and onwards once we receive them.

**Update: 8:30pm September 11, 2024**

We are excited to announce that our sales exceeded expectations! On September 8th, we had over 1,050 users browsing during the sale. If only we had as many sales as visitors!

We anticipated that, given how late we launched the website, many customers had already purchased their favorite varieties for the upcoming season from the various Websites now offering Dahlias. Our final sales numbers reflect this.

Many customers purchased just 2-4 varieties, typically those that tend to sell out quickly. A lucky few were able to successfully snag Double Jill and Peaches N Cream without them disappearing from their carts—exactly the result we were aiming for! We’re thrilled to have helped get some rare treasures into your garden for the upcoming season. Thank you to everyone who made a purchase!

One thing we know is that packing 10 tubers into a single box is much quicker than packing 1 tuber into 10 separate boxes! We’ve received a high number of small orders, which will take a bit more time to fulfill.

We plan to begin packing orders early next week, starting on September 16th, just as predicted. Early Access orders will be shipped first, followed by the rest in order of purchase.
