Frequently Asked Questions
Who are Dahlias NZ?
Dahlias NZ was formed by a group of growers in Waikato who wish to get rid of their extra tubers/ plants.
These extras were initially cultivated as replacements, the growers could share amongst themselves should a variety fail to grow for anyone due to disease or rot.

Why Did the Website Take so Long?
We’ve tried different ways on the website during our test phase and found adding more options for shopping and checkout such as different options for shipping and payments only adds more plug-ins to the website and these plug-ins have to be paid for separately either monthly or annually.
The Costs add up over time and it gets quite expensive, since we are not doing this venture throughout the whole year, We decided to keep it simple and low cost.
- Buyers place orders
- Items are checked for availability
- Buyers get Shipping Cost and payment details.
- Items are shipped upon payment.
We hope to have tubers and plants available late winter and early spring.
