Dahlia Orange and Snow (also known as Apelsini Sniega) is a lively, high-contrast decorative variety that brings a zesty energy to the garden. Bred by Rita Zala in Latvia and introduced in 2006, it is celebrated for its “traveling color”—a mesmerizing quality where each bloom chooses its own balance of creamy white and bright tangerine orange. Some petals appear sun-kissed with delicate orange brushstrokes at the tips, while others may rebel as solid bursts of color, creating an ever-changing display of summer warmth.
Blooms: 10 – 15 cm
Height: 90 – 120cm
Grower: Zala, Rita (Latvia) , 2006
Dahlias should be planted after the risk of frost has passed and will continue to bloom from early summer until mid-autumn. For optimal growth and flowering, choose a sunny spot to plant the tubers, as Dahlias thrive in full sun.
