‘White Aster’ is an iconic heirloom variety widely celebrated as the world’s oldest surviving garden dahlia still in commercial cultivation. First introduced in 1879 by Dobbie in the UK, this historic pompon dahlia is highly prized by florists and gardeners for its incredibly prolific production of clean, pure white to soft ivory blooms. The dainty, tightly rolled petals form near-perfect, honeycomb-textured globes that sometimes exhibit a very subtle, warm hint of honey-yellow or sunshine at their absolute centre.

Dahlias should be planted after the risk of frost has passed and will continue to bloom from early summer until mid-autumn. For optimal growth and flowering, choose a sunny spot to plant the tubers, as Dahlias thrive in full sun.
