Hillcrest Duncan Edwards is a large semi-cactus dahlia, renowned for its exceptional qualities. This prize-winning cultivar was developed and named by Les Jackson in honor of the late ‘Busby Babe’ Duncan Edwards, who tragically lost his life in the 1958 Manchester United Munich Air Crash. After 50 years of dedication, Jackson succeeded in breeding a dahlia that met his exacting standards: a football-sized bloom with perfect symmetry and a rich red color that resists fading.
Blooms: 20 – 25cm
Height: 90 – 120cm
Grower: Jackson, Les (Great Britain), 2012
Dahlias should be planted after the risk of frost has passed and will continue to bloom from early summer until mid-autumn. For optimal growth and flowering, choose a sunny spot to plant the tubers, as Dahlias thrive in full sun.
