Dahlia As pictured – Last minute entries for 2026
‘Dazzling Sun’ is a high-energy, spectacular dinnerplate decorative dahlia (often leaning semi-cactus) celebrated for its radiant, flame-like look. It produces massive, fully double blooms measuring an impressive 20 to 25 cm (8 to 10 inches) in diameter. True to its name, the base color is a brilliant, sunny golden-yellow, with elongated, slightly pointed petals that are crisply outlined, streaked, or tipped in a fiery scarlet red—giving the entire flowerhead a sunburst glow. It holds the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Dahlias should be planted after the risk of frost has passed and will continue to bloom from early summer until mid-autumn. For optimal growth and flowering, choose a sunny spot to plant the tubers, as Dahlias thrive in full sun.
