Dahlia ‘Red and White Fubuki’ is a striking dinnerplate variety that captures attention with its dramatic deep strawberry red petals, each delicately tipped in rich cream-white. The petal tips are fimbriated, or split, giving the large blooms an almost fluffy appearance that adds a unique texture to the flower. Flowering from midsummer until autumn, these radiant blooms are set off beautifully by the plant’s attractive, toothed, dark green leaves. Growing up to 120 cm in height, ‘Red and White Fubuki’ is an excellent choice for sunny borders or large patio containers and makes for fantastic cut flowers to bring indoors. This easy-to-grow dahlia variety, with its serrated and semi-frilled florets, adds a riot of color to any garden. To ensure the best growth, plant the tubers just below the soil surface, firming the soil around them carefully. Taller stems may require staking, and occasional spraying with a fungicide can help control powdery mildew. To prolong flowering, regularly pluck off old blooms and cut back spent foliage to ground level each autumn.

Dahlias should be planted after the risk of frost has passed and will continue to bloom from early summer until mid-autumn. For optimal growth and flowering, choose a sunny spot to plant the tubers, as Dahlias thrive in full sun.
